General rental conditions

The rental fee must be paid in full before the start of the rental, otherwise the sauna will not be handed over and the contract will be considered canceled and the cancellation conditions will apply. For example, a receipt for a bank transfer is valid as proof of payment.

As a renter, you agree to follow the general instructions for use of Havusauna, and to ensure that other users also follow them, and that you do not use Havusauna in a way other than what is normal and expected for a sauna.

Havusaunaa may only be towed by persons with a driver's license and in good driving condition. The renter of Havusauna is ultimately responsible for damages that occur during the rental period.

The towed device has brakes and its total mass is 910 kg. Due to the mass (more than 750 kg), the sauna's speed limit is 80 km/h. The driver must make sure that the tow truck is suitable for towing the sauna.

The lessee may not rent Havusaunaa to a third person.

Havusaunaa may not be taken outside the borders of Finland without the lessor's written permission. The lessor has the right to know the location of the sauna during the rental.

You are always fully responsible for the fines and fees caused by using the device during the rental period. By renting a Havusauna, you entitle the lessor to give your personal information to the authorities in order to impose fines and payments.

Tenant's responsibility

As part of the rental agreement, you agree to comply with Havusaunan instructions for use.

Safety

The renter is responsible for safety during use both for yourself and all sauna users as well as for other people. When using a wood sauna, at least the following risk factors must be taken into account: hot stove, stove firebox, boiling hot water and scalding water tank, use of ax and knife.

Care must be taken when entering and exiting the dressing room, as the entrance is about half a meter high. Please also use the rear supports installed behind the sauna. If the supports have not been lowered, the presence of two people in the changing room can cause the bow of the sauna to rise in the air, causing them to fall and injure themselves.

When driving, follow the operating instructions. When reversing, note that the brakes will lock if you don't lock the brakes from the tiller.

Damage situations

The renter is fully responsible for damages caused to the sauna during the rental period up to the compensation value of the device of €10,000, excluding damages due to technical errors and normal wear and tear.

If the sauna is not returned due to something other than a technical fault or an obstacle comparable to this, the renter undertakes to pay the replacement value of the device €10,000 in full.

In the event of damage, the materials for the work to restore the device to working condition will be charged at prices according to VAT, as well as a labor allowance of €30/h.

The renter is obliged up to the replacement value of the device:

  • To compensate for damage to the device or its equipment during the rental period, regardless of the cause of the damage or the cause of the damage (e.g. overloading, driving with flat tires, traffic accident, negligence of other users, own negligence, etc.)
  • To replace parts and accessories lost from the device during the rental period
  • To pay a daily fee of 50 euros for downtime caused by self-inflicted damage, however for a maximum of 30 days. Downtime starts the day after the day of the accident.

The lessee is released from the obligation to compensate if the lessor receives full compensation for damages from the insurance or from the person who caused the damage.

The renter is obliged to inspect the device after the end of the rental and to notify the lessor of any discovered damage immediately. This is very important for the safety of the next user.

Tenant's measures in case of damage

In the event of a traffic accident, the lessee is always obliged to report the damage to the lessor without delay.

If the guilt is at all unclear, the renter must inform the police. A report to the police must be made whenever there is a personal injury or deer injury. Provide the lessor with a certificate issued by the police about the report made. If the lessee neglects to make the aforementioned notifications, he is liable to the lessor for the resulting damage.

Varkaus

The theft must be reported to the police and the landlord immediately. Please note that we will notify the insurance company, which needs detailed information about what happened.

Malfunctions

If a technical fault or other error occurs in the device during the rental period, the renter has the right to demand a rent reduction corresponding to the fault, up to a maximum of the rental price.

The lessor is not responsible for damage caused by equipment breakdown or failure to the renter, the renter's property, means of transport or other persons, except up to the amount of the rent.

The lessee's measures in the event of a fault

In the event of an accident, mistake, tire damage or other defect, the renter must immediately notify the lessor by phone (text message, phone call, or WhatsApp).

The renter may, without notifying the lessor, repair the device at the lessor's expense for a maximum value of €100, if it is necessary for the continuation of the trip. This amount may include labor and/or supplies. The lessor pays the compensation based on the receipt/voucher.

Cancellation

We do not charge a cancellation fee, so do not book a sauna if you are not sure that you want to use it during the time you have booked and for the stated price.

Similarly, we have the right to cancel the rental at any time if it becomes clear that you do not comply with the agreement or refuse to rent the sauna or hand over the sauna to you if we do not want to rent it to you, and we do not have to justify the decision in any way.

If we cancel the rental, you must return the Havusauna to us without delay. If we cancel the rental, you have the right to receive back all rental payments for that rental. However, compensation is affected by any damages incurred during your liability.

Dispute resolution

Disputes are resolved through negotiation. If the disagreements are brought to a court for resolution, the lawsuit must be filed in the district court of the landlord's domicile (Oulu).

Rental period

The rental period is agreed verbally/in writing and confirmed by text message/email. The rental period starts when the sauna is handed over and ends when the device is returned to the agreed place.

Changing the return time or place must be agreed with the lessor in good time. The lessor is not obliged to pay a refund if the lessee returns the device before the end of the agreed rental period.

If the device has not been returned at the end of the rental period and an extension of the rental period has not been agreed with the lessor, the matter will be reported to the police as a case of theft. Returning at the agreed time is important, because the sauna may be booked by another tenant later the same day.

Transport

There is no transport available to the sauna.

Sauna pickup

The sauna can be used from 1 p.m., unless otherwise agreed. The sauna is locked with code locks, the codes of which are delivered after the rent is paid. The lessor is not present at the time of collection. The renter is obliged to visually check the condition of the sauna inside and out. If necessary, he must take a photo of the observed defects/damages and submit these to the lessor.

Return of the sauna

The sauna must be returned by 12 o'clock on the end day. The sauna must be returned to the same place where it was picked up. These can also be agreed separately with the lessor. The lessee is obliged to check the condition of the sauna when returning it and to notify the lessor of the observed damage. When returning the sauna, it must be cleaned so that the next renters can go to the sauna in it. Both locks of the sauna must be left locked.
