Where to take a trailer sauna in Oulu

The advantage of the sauna wagon is that you can take a sauna in your own backyard or by the sea in the same wonderful sauna. There are kilometers of sandy beaches in the Oulu area, although many people are not aware of it, and finding the best spot can be a hobby in itself. On this page you will find a few suggestions for places in the Oulu area — all by the water.

Vihiluoto, Oulunsalo

You can easily get here with a sauna and there is a small, shallow sandy beach and a small marina.

Varjaka beach, Oulunsalo

It's easy to get here. Grills and a swimming pier can be found a short walk from the parking area (you may not take the sauna to the swimming pier).

End of Pitkänmöljäntie, Toppilansaari

An easy place where there is more nature. You have to walk to the shore if you want to swim; the riverbank is a dangerous rockfall. The beach is sandy and really shallow. U-turn spot, park on the side on the asphalt (you may not park on the grass). No time limit. No need to cancel. 

Martinhov beach, Haukipudas

Ask for more information. Not an official park area, but you can get a sauna very close to the beach. Fish pier nearby which is in commercial use. This is not a serviced beach and there are no toilets, for example.

Villenniemi, Haukipudas

A small place with a swimming pier (shallow sandy bay), barbecue shelter, picnic table, and a path in the forest goes north to the headland. No need to reverse, can drive in a circle. Peaceful, although the park buildings are not in the best condition. Currant and raspberry in the forest.

Pöllä, Hailuoto

A beautiful nature reserve that will be remembered as a great experience. The parking area is lumpy, but the beach is lovely and the water is warm in the summer. Here you can swim in deep Lahti or in shallow sea waters. Walking distance from the sauna to swimming, you can't get a sauna all the way to the beach.
